CalendarRules Joins Legal Cloud Computing Association

Alliance to facilitate adoption of cloud computing among legal professionals continues to expand.

San Francisco, California – The Legal Cloud Computing Association (LCCA) recently welcomed, the first cloud based court rules provider, as a member. CalendarRules joins the LCCA’s existing membership, consisting of leading cloud-based vendors including Clio (Themis Solutions Inc.), DirectLaw, Inc., Rocket Matter, Total Attorneys, NetDocuments, NextPoint, Dialawg, RealPractice, and Onit.

“We are excited to welcome CalendarRules as a member,” said Jack Newton, Acting President of the LCCA and co-founder and CEO of Clio. “Together with CalendarRules and the other members, the LCCA will continue to provide a consistent and unified voice for legal cloud computing providers on all facets of cloud computing, including best practices, regulatory issues, and education.”

CalendarRules, founded in 2008, merges the latest web and cloud computing technologies with court rules content from all over the United States to deliver court rules to calendars of all types. Nationally, thousands of lawyers rely and depend on for up-to-the-minute court rules, dates and deadline information. Rules are available for State, Federal, Local, Bankruptcy and Appellate courts.

The LCCA was formed on December 15, 2010 with a goal to promote standards for cloud computing that are responsive to the needs of the legal profession and to enable lawyers to become aware of the benefits of computing technology through the development and distribution of education and informational resources.
